A big thank you to Claudia Goodman, for taking part in our 250 / 400 Challenge, to raise funds for our Family Support service. Claudia decided to take on the challenge and came up with the idea of taking donations for her son’s artwork.
Over lockdown, her son, Matthew, who was diagnosed with autism aged 3, (now 33!) came home from his supported living, having moved 2 years ago. He stayed with his parents at home for 17 months. He loves to draw and produced a different picture every single day, so Claudia started to make collages from some of his pictures. Her challenge has raised a huge £1,010. Well done Claudia and thank you so much from us all.
Claudia said ‘I decided to do this, because this free Family Support service has been a wonderful support to me both professionally and personally over a period of around 25 years’.
We are looking for more people to sign up! For further information on our 250 / 400 Challenge or to get involved, please contact Serita Boxall - Fundraising & Marketing Manager - sboxall@kentautistic.com
