Our award-winning PBS Team and the people we support work in partnership in our KATCHAT groups. Created, named, and steered by people who live in or attend KATs services.
These groups allow us to discuss important topics and share the power in how we deliver services. The groups have already made a difference to the way we plan events, and several members are becoming involved in recruitment. The PBS team use a variety of communication and support techniques to ensure that the meetings are accessible to anyone.
This coproduction and the focus on equality is so important at The Kent Autistic Trust. We are all experts by lived experience or professional experience, and always have a lot to give each other.
